Scholarly Article by me? I never! November 18, 2004
Posted by Owen in : Stuff... , add a commentCheck it out… Google thinks I wrote a scholarly article. I guess it sort of is, but I wouldn’t rank it too highly.
I found tons of articles my dad wrote as a graduate student in the 70s. The Internet never fails to amaze me.

Since Bush is the head of the government, does he have no faith in himself?
Driving Home from Work… August 6, 2004

E3 May 17, 2004
Posted by Owen in : Stuff... , add a commentE3 was fun as expected. Saw the latest games (but not Halo 2… where was it?), looked at the newest hardware (the Nintendo DS [Double Screen] was nifty), got tons of free stuff (t-shirts and glowing stuff), and took lots of photos. My favorite
:

Also see Biao’s nicely annotated photos for more E3 photos. I’ll try to upload more when I have a chance.
New Computer, Part Dos May 6, 2004
Posted by Owen in : Stuff... , add a commentI got the new Mac… it works great. So what do I like about it?
- I can backup all my important files onto 1 DVD-R… 2 gigs burned in 6 minutes.
- I can run Apache, MySQL, and PHP on it, which means I can develop my website without being connected to the Internet (like that ever happens, though)
- I can enjoy the lickable interface.
- I can use new and exciting programs only on the Mac (yes, they exist!)
- I can use vi.
- I can work wirelessly and bring my work with me
- I can use the command key (Bryan ordered an identical Mac and we picked them up together and I offered to pay first so I got the one on top of the pile. Later, Bryan was using his computer and the damn command key fell off.
- I can use my KVM to use two computers at once!
Now that I’m done bragging, it’s back to looking for a job. Yay for jobs!
